{ View from my Kitchen }

Last night I was washing dishes and realized how very blessed I am. Standing at the sink, I can look at the two men I love most in the whole wide world: My husband, doing homework on his laptop, and my Dad, relaxing with a book.
Joy.
Dad is in town this week for work. He drove over on Sunday {the drive is 7 - 8 hours} and will be leaving on Friday. We're enjoying having him around, though I'm sure he could wish for a more comfortable bed than our sofa!

  1. Are not daddies some of the best people in the world!?
    I am so glad you get to spend some time with your Daddy.
    And,I am sure he doesnt mind sleeping on the sofa,because he is spending time with his little girl:)
    Give him and hug and a "hey-lo" from South Idaho for me!

  2. Joy indeed! And those men of yours, in my humble opinion, are especially good ones.
    Did you get another couch?!

  3. Chelle--yes we did! Our pastor and his wife gave it to us. It matches our other sofa (also given to us) very closely, and it fits perfectly in our little space. So now, when we have people over, we can both eat at a real table AND everybody has a place to sit when we move to the living room! Hurrah!!

  5. It has been a joy catching up with you, I just hate that it has taken me this long to stop by for a bit. It is a bit crazy over this way...for now..39 weeks and most days I am left feeling lifeless :P This too shall pass! And I am totally going to have to try Rachel Ray's pizza you mentioned...looked so great! Loved all your tidbits of joy! Hope you are always able to find them in the midst of every day.

  6. YOU are blessed to be able to spend time with your dad. At first I didn't see him there on the sofa and I was wondering what you were talking about. :)

    The girls and I enjoyed your snailmail notes.
